Bolt.com is Bolted
It shouldn’t come as a surprise: Bolt.com, the beleaguered online video site is shutting down. The site had been sued by Universal Music Group, and then sold itself to GoFish for $30 million in February 2007. Earlier this month, We had earlier reported that the merger was coming unglued. It was clear that it was only a matter of time before Bolt.com was going to be shuttering its operations.

Well I quite Agree that lot of video sharing websites will get down considering the market. While I know that bolt2 and bolt was just for moving the older version out with a classy web 2.0 enabled Bolt and some cool new features. its a misery… I quite liked Bolt and some of the Guys at bolt … specially the Vision that Aaron and Jay had…

To be honest, after they did away with the original Bolt.com (aka Bolt2.com), I figured it was only a matter of time before it all went under. The original website was more interesting. The collection of badges and how it was easier to chat it up with a random person… All of the things that made Bolt great died with Bolt2. I bet this is one of those moments where the creators wish they could turn back time.

well i personally think it sucks that it went under. i loved it there and spent quite a bit of time on my page and meeting friends from all over the world. what makes me mad is i got warning they were closing and alot of my phoos and stuff got left there. some cant be replaced. now ive learned my lesson. burn burn burn. if we would have gotten a little warning we could have gotten all our stuff off of it.

OMG!! I can’t believe it… I really liked the original version of Bolt.com. It was a pretty cool site! I met sooo many cool and interesting people off of there, including: one of my Best Friends Joey and the one man who completely stole my heart. I was a member for just over 6 years. I’m surprised that I didn’t receive any notice of this and I’m just finding out about nearly a year later. What the F*** man!
