Indeed, at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in February, HTC said it would be altering its smartphone strategy by focusing on fewer designs. The HTC One series is the culmination of that approach, hence the similarity between the Incredible 3 and other HTC One models.

Like the HTC One X — its LTE cousin on AT&T — the Incredible 4G LTE uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. A key difference appears to the the processor speed: Verizon says it’s a 1.2 GHz S4; slower than those used in the GSM variants. But the phone uses HTC’s 4-inch Super LCD a 4-inch Super AMOLED display at 960 x 540 resolution, just like on the One S. Beats Audio, common to the entire HTC One line, is integrated in the new Incredible 3, as is the 8 megapixel, f/2.2 rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and 28 mm lens.

HTC’s new Droid will run Android 4.0 and the improved Sense 4.0 software, just like the other HTC One models. Neither Verizon nor HTC have published the size and weight of the device, but I’d expect it to be slightly smaller than the 4.3-inch screened One S, which measures in at 2.56″ x 5.15” x 0.3″ and a weight of 4.2 ounces.
