As set-top boxes and TV sets become increasingly connected to the internet, the line between web content and TV content is blurring. Take the recent Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn… web series? Movie? Well, what do you call it? It was launched as a five-part series distributed via YouTube and other online outlets, but it’s now available as a full movie on VOD and Blu-Ray (it also got nominated for 8 Streamy awards). In this episode of the GigaOM Podcast, we talk with Forward Unto Dawn‘s executive producers, Lydia Antonini and Josh Feldman, about how the show was created for a multi-platform world, and what the future looks like for web series and branded content.
