Originally designed as a bike that could ride across the icy Antarctic snow, the Hanebrink all-terrain vehicle has the widest tires in the industry — at least the widest we’ve ever seen. The Fortune Hanebrink crew later added on an on-demand electric system, a 600-watt motor and a battery that turned the vehicle into the first off-road electric bike, with a speed up to 20 mph. For this week’s episode of GigaOM TV’s Green Overdrive show, we go electric off-roading with President Kane Fortune.
