        &lt;p&gt;I found the problem. You need to install the .jad and not .cab because windows does not have java embedded into the OS. However, since the touch does not have any buttons you can&#039;t really properly use Google Maps because it does not support touchscreen (arrow keys work for a lot of the functions though). Sigh.&lt;/p&gt;
