I found the problem. You need to install the .jad and not .cab because windows does not have java embedded into the OS. However, since the touch does not have any buttons you can’t really properly use Google Maps because it does not support touchscreen (arrow keys work for a lot of the functions though). Sigh.

Hmm… just installed the Java version on my HTC Dash and it’s working fine. What Java environment does the HTC Touch use?

i’ve searched around but I can’t seem to find an answer to this. Do you know if street view works on HTC Touch GSM (elf)? I installed the most recent version from google’s website… 2 days ago. It says java-enabled phones, is it because windows mobile does not have java embedded (you must launch java loader) that you can not use street view? Help me jkontherun!
