Yes I did, I ordered OS X 10.5
The hoopla must have gotten to me and today I ordered Leopard, Mac OS X 10.5. It went live today and I couldn’t resist. The cool part is that the order shows that Leopard will be delivered on Oct. 26th, not ship on that date which is pretty cool. I know that Kevin ordered it too, we’re just hopeless geeks after all.

But what we really want to know is: did Kevin use his $100 iPhone store credit order his 10.5? :-)
You betcha, Scotty! Net price < $35. :)
Amazon has Leopard for $109 ($189 for family pack). Those who know the Macintosh world may know of better prices that are still legit.
I dunno if I can keep reading tech news written by people who have sold their souls …….. :P
Can I put this on my OQO 02 or is it proprietary?
Yeah, yeah, I already know the answer. I just wanted to post, it’s lonely here.
Now, what computer should I install Vista on next?
Leopard uses far more open source software than Vista does but the overall operating system is licensed to consumers for use only on Apple hardware.
If you join the Apple developer program you are licensed to use Mac OS X on other hardware for “testing purposes”. For example to setup several different versions of OS X on VMWare to facilitate testing your applications on different versions of OS X. Or perhaps on an OQO 2 to test your applications for the rumored soon-to-be released Apple UMPC/PDA. :-)
