Kevin, always having the UMPC and the full OneNote app makes perfect sense. It's one reason I moved away from a PocketPC to a Tablet, so I'd have access to the full apps as well. However, there are those times when the Tablet isn't practical to carry with me, like when the wife and I are out. After 31 years together she's really good about me and my gadgets, but even I can push the envelope a little to far at times ;-) I haven't taken the UMPC plunge yet as I wasn't sure if I wanted to go down in size. One of the other reasons I left my PocketPC was the size. At 6'8" I've got BIG hands and I find the 12.1" screen on my TC4200 is just about perfect. Although, if I had it to do over again, I think I would have held out for a TC1100.

Thanks Bill; I agree that OneNote Mobile is a fantastic product. We've written up quite a few actual usage scenarios to show it off. However, I've stopped using it because I'm always carrying my UMPC so I have the full version of OneNote in my hands at all times. The only feature I can't readily use is the camera feature since I'm not synching. I get around that by e-mailing pics from the phone to the UMPC.

Kevin, like you I use Exchange for all my syncing. It might have something to do with the Small Business Server I have running here in my home office ;-) However, there is still one thing I use ActiveSync and/or WMDC for. OneNote mobile synchronization. If you're using OneNote, you should check out OneNote mobile it's a really nice product. I use it on a Cingular 3125 SmartPhone quite a lot. I'll take pictures and voice recordings that can be done from within OneNote and then sync them back up to my server when I get back to the office. In addition, I can push anything I've got in OneNote down to my phone for use when I'm out and about. I'll also periodically sync my phone via cable to update my Mobile Favorites, however, 99% of the time I do the over-the-air sync via Exchange.
