by saying no java emulator for android, he means

Most of WinMo haters haven't had any WinMo phone before, they just hate WinMo because of some unknown or wrong reason.
I have used both, WinMo definitely is better:
1- better multitasking
2- no urgent need for root
3- better UI
4- better apps
5- Installing apps on external memory

I'm sorry, but most of your WM fanboy rant just makes me shake my head and feel sorry for you. My HTC Desire HD has none of the deficiencies you talk about. It has 768 MB of RAM but applications are not installed there anyway, they go into the 1.5 Gigs of flash where there is plenty of room, but I can move any of them to the 32 gig SD card if I want.

Microsoft's hamfisted ways of doing things are getting worse; Phone 7 is better, but it's too little too late. Everybody is beginning to see that MS has been taking its customers for granted (as well as to the cleaners) for far too long now.

Why did I put up with my windows pda phone for so long? Well it sure made me appreciate the Desire HD, I'll give it that.

I have been using windows mobile since Ver 6. I don't know why everyone here feels that apps don't close in win mo. The way to shut down any app has always been to hold (x) button for a couple of secs instead of just tapping it. If you just tap it, the app just minimises but if you hold the (x) down, the app closes perfectly. This works even in Win Mobile 6.5
