I might also hold off on my new notebook purchase as well, but darn, those 30% deals HP likes to throw in always gets me itching to buy. I’d love to get a mobile Core i7 with Windows 7 loaded.

Typically, that’s not standard operating procedure, but they could of course do whatever they want. Additionally, they’ve had millions of Windows 7 beta testers since they opened it up to the general public, so I wouldn’t anticipate any discount on the software. The beta group is simply too large.
