Where ever your kid goes, VuGo
Tiger Electronics is hoping to cash in on the video iPod craze with the VuGo multimedia system aimed at kids. You can download videos, music and photos on the very basic VuGo device and play them on the 3 inch screen. You can hook the VuGo up to a TV and record directly onto the device. While the VuGo only has 128 MB of internal memory it accepts standard SD cards for memory expansion up to 2 GB. The VuGo is looking to sell music and videos on the VuGo studio on the product web site and the device will be sold online and at Target, Toys R Us and Walmart stores.

VUGO Rocks. 2 gbs Will boost this baby to 17 hrs of video. Sd cards are a must if you want that. It can hold 102 hrs of music with a 2gb sd card AND 20,400 photos or pictures. You can pause while you record live t.v in order to eliminate commercials and hold more. They also sell shows on the site but I don’t reccommend that. They’re free AND you can get what you want by recording T.v. Great Device.
I saw a TV ad for the VuGo this morning while watching cartoons (no, my teenage kids weren’t in the room). Cool looking device in action.

I think the VuGo is the #1 Multimedia Player for Kids to take on the go!
I bought one for my daughter for christmas… I thought it was soo cool, that I set it up to work with her laptop last night, to see if how it works.
Don’t play mp3′s or wma’s all files has to be converted to a proprietary format. Takes a long time, software is sooo clumsy, no drag and drop to the program. Then transferring to the device takes even longer. 3 out of 5 attempts, the thing locked up. Need a screwdriver to remove the battery to reboot. Thing takes 4 AAAs, and drains them just trying to load media to it.
Sound Quality is poor, comparable to a very low quality mp3, video is poor, very poor.
I thought being able to record from TV, or downloading video from the website would make it worth the price, but since the video quality is soooo low, this thing is not worth anywhere near $100.
True enough, there isn’t another media player in this range that will play video, but this VuGo makes the others look as if they’re worth the money. particuallarly a PSP, which will also play video games.
i wanted one soooooooo bad but once i herd it was $100 bucks and only has a 3inch screen not for me i got a psp (best thing you will EVER use)yajust not 4 me well see yaall later!!!
