Was that a UMPC on ’24′ this week?
I almost forgot about this pic I snapped while watching ’24′ on Monday night. The situation was quite comical actually; we have friends come over to watch the show with us. It’s their first season and it’s the kind of show that screams for a 1080p 60-inch HDTV and surround sound. Within the first few minutes of the show, the above scene came across and I just had to rewind and pause it to see what the device was. I know, not a good host. While watching in real-time I suspected it was a UMPC, but after pausing and moving forward a few frames, it appeared to be a PMP of some type as the bad-guys were watching television on it. Just wondering if anyone else saw it and immediately thought "Oh look! A UMPC!"
While we’re on the subject of ’24′, can anyone figure out what Sprint broadband service Jack uses? He always gets his file transfers and photos from CTU in milliseconds. Hang on to that old Palm Treo, Jack…do you really think CTU is going to spring for iPhones? Now without 3G they won’t. ;)

Did you guys miss the Sony UX that Morris reprogrammed to guide the bombs at the beginning of the season or it it not worthy because it isn’t an official “UMPC”?
I’m pretty sure that is a Sony DVD Walkman. I own one and I remember thinking “there’s my DVD player”
Isn’t it interesting when we see a device we own used in a major TV show? Like it provides validity For our choice of gadgets.
