Strangely, none of those devices crashed, hung, threw up a message saying ‘You have committed an illegal operation’. There wasn’t a blue circle rotating endlessly.

Leaving that aside, nothing dates faster than futuristic visions. I predict the same for this.

To me the amazing part was that the big leaps in the video seemed to be in hardware. Foldable displays, interactive touchscreens, high bandwidth wireless networking etc.

With the focus on touch control, and little or no obvious typing, voice input, or other means to contribute information I can only assume that future Microsoft users will simply spend their time browsing and maybe sketching the odd cartoon dog.

Everyone else will simply use their cell phone.

This is amazing. I watched a little bit of that longer video. I think it is all possible, the only thing I have doubts about is how they’re going to get all this technology out there when it is invented.

Anyways, if this is what the future holds, it sure can’t come fast enough!

There is a much better (but longer version) that starts at 14:57 into the Microsoft Gives Glimpse Into the Future video. The introduction that starts at 13:00 in is worth listening to as well.
