Not to mention that the benchmarks stated are against the 1st generation ATOM/Netbook architecture. I would like to see the benchmark against Intel’s 2nd Gen ATOM Netbook platform (Pinetrail). I suspect that VIA will still be a lagger.

The interesting (and sneaky) thing about the performance chart is that there is no 1.6GHz Via Nano 3000 series processor. So, it’s not a realistic comparison. The L-series is for nettops and the U-series for netbooks, and the highest clock on the U-series is 1.4GHz.

I’m really curious if it will run on a 2133 – it’s stated to be pin-for-pin compatible with the C7-M. May need a bios update though to fully post, and I don’t see HP putting out one.

The VIA Nano supports any x86 operating system, including 64-bit versions. Windows 7 or other versions will certainly run on this platform.
