There is a significant difference between the previous 15 day guarantee referenced above(“Worry Free Guarantee”)and the new Test Drive. The Worry Free Guarantee does not require that you port your number away but it only refunds the cost of the equipment, not the cost of airtime. The Test Drive refunds both equipment cost and air-time. By the way, the Worry Free Guarantee period has been extended from 15 days to 30 days to align it with the Test Drive period.

Verizon already offered 15-day guarantees with the same stipulations, except you did not have to port the number to another carrier. The other carriers give you 30 days.

Sounds like all this is good for is if you went past the 15-day mark and have decided to go with another carrier, and are between 16 and 30 days from when you bought the device.

Personally, I’m dropping Verizon soon. haven’t liked them since I had to quit working for them, and the Vonage suit bothers me enough I’m giving them none of my money.
