And maybe I don’t have my priorities quite straight, but who on earth would want to pay $1.99 for a single song… instant gratification doesn’t work for me when I feel like I am getting ripped off.

For $.99 you can download the song to a PC and transfer it to your phone, which I think is reasonable. Makes sense that the “instant gratification” of the direct download is more expensive and who the heck downloads enough music to make the $15 a month fee worth it? Thankfully, VZW figured that out! ;)
