I got the Storm last wed. I had heard about a new OS coming out sometime soon. And from the time I used the phone with 4.7 it was what it was, but I really hated the SMS texting since it was not threaded texting. I came from the LG enV Touch--and that phone was the reason why I wanted it SO bad because it had threaded texting. It makes it a WHOLE LOT easier and faster to view texts....but what I love most about the Storms new threaded text, is that it is that like the BBMessenger.

Overall the OS on Storm1 is just faster, smoother, sexier...kinda like Windows 7 :-)

I just updated my storm to OS 5.0 and an very pleased! I started the update last night then fell asleep and when I woke up it was like it has been switched out with a brand new (and better) phone. I especially like how the texts are now in conversations instead of mixed all together in one screen. And they finally gave the phone's scrolling some inertia! and the pictures load so much faster. Its just all really smooth. Overall I have always been happy with the phone and now its a whole lot better!

I have been Verizon Wireless subscriber for many years. I had been AT&T Cellular customer previously before their change to GSM. I have been a very satisfied customer with Verizon Wireless. Their services and customer service have been superior. I have read there are unsatisfied customers with Verizon also. I believe that the percentage is less than with AT&T. I have been Blackberry user since the Pearl, Curve and now Storm. I have just updated the operating system to 5.0 yesterday. I am very pleased to experience the new and improved features. I experience the "smoothness" in many operating procedures. I believe that the voice ,the coverage and customer service with Verizon Wireless have surpassed AT&T. There is not a "perfect" company either in telecommunication or any industry.

I wonder if it will have the same success the first generation had.
From what I've read the specs are pretty good, except the built in memory. Hope I'll get to buy one.
