Using MojoPac to Keep Your Stuff on Your Netbook
Netbooks are largely used as companion devices by those who own them. They’re not powerful enough to be the main (or only) computer in the arsenal, rather they make great mobile companions. Having multiple computers, however, creates the dilemma of how to keep the companion systems in sync with the others. It can be important to have access to all your data on the companion device when you’re working remotely, without physical access to the main system. A method we’ve covered in the past, MojoPac, can be exactly the solution some will find to be just the ticket as far as netbooks are concerned.
What makes MojoPac so good with netbooks is that it not only makes sure all your files are in sync with the mothership, but it recreates the host PC environment on a USB stick (or iPod). This means that when you plug the MojoPac into the netbook it instantly gets all the programs, data and settings (such as browser settings) as the host PC. Your netbook looks and acts just like your host PC.

I was lucky enough to be part of the beta testing program for the Vista version which felt improved over the Windows XP version, especially in the start up times.
However it never seemed to make general release?

Thanks for the info. Had you not posted the BETA Info I would have stumbled around for some time before I found out this is XP Only. You have to dig thru their website to find out. Here is the System Requirements:
Operating Systems:
•Windows XP* (32-bit version ONLY)
◦Home/Pro (SP2, SP3)
◦Media Center Edition (2003, 2005)
It is amazing how they tout it is for “ANY Windows PC” that would make anyone think that it is at lkeast VISTA compatible. To bad, was ready to take it for a spin!
That’s why it’s good for netbooks. I suspect they decided to wait for Windows 7 given the rushed timetable for that version. All speculation on my part.
This was kinda slow with my 4G Ipod but not slower than portable apps.
It works great with XP as long as you install Mojopac on every regularly used PC.
I´ve been using Migo for a while now, it works fine.
Will try Mojopac to compare.
