UMPC power vs. performance demonstration
Hot on the heels of my battery benchmarking between Via- and Intel-based UMPCs, Steve provides a different view of the comparison. Like a mobile maestro, he uses two styli in synchronization with a Q1P and Q1B to demonstrate potential trade offs between power, performance and price. The video is an outstanding look at the compromises that can affect your UMPC usage as well as your budget. The importance of this compromise can’t be overstated now that the Q1U and other next gen UMPCs are right around the corner.

It’s interesting that you refer to 2nd generation UMPCs. From what I’ve been seeing and hearing, the Samsung Q1 Ultra is not what I’d call a 2nd gen device. I would be more inclined to call it a 1.5 version–a major refinement.
I’m wondering then why you think it’s a 2.0 version. Care to elaborate Kevin?
