Any company that has to make it’s internal creedo “Do no evil” is one down quarter from serious problems. I’d also guess this “cloud” crap pretty much disappears with the economy.

Many hate the evil Microsoft empire. Now that Google is huge, the same type of sentiment is coming out against them. I’ve had problems with just about every hardware/software/service I’ve ever used. (Of course, some more than others.) Can’t think of anything that’s perfect.

Personally, I prefer a large company with a huge number of clients to complain when something goes wrong. They generally have the resources to fix the problem quickly.

This seems to happen at least once a month lately and is another good reason that I refuse to put all my trust in Google the way the rest of the crowd seems to. Privacy is, of course, the other reason why I refuse to even log on to a search engine.

A company as big as Google shouldn’t have to leave its software in constant beta and it should be able to ensure that it’s core product never goes down on such a massive scale.

I use a number of Google products daily (search, maps, etc.) but people need to be careful how much power they hand over to one company. As far as I’m concerned Google have too much already and Android would have to be one of the most insidious means of collecting personal information I’ve ever seen.
