I still stand by the fact that the device has instant-on with a decent battery life. These two factors are something we have not seen before. It is way too early to convict this device. Personally, I would buy this device as long as it has full compliance with all my MS Office docs.

I do agree that 3rd party apps will be the deciding factor for this nice, focused machine.

Hey guys, how does the foleo fit into a “I want to quickly check web email, google reader, surf web sites and use google docs via wifi” scenario? How would it compare in price/convenience w/ other simple mobile options. I just want easy web connectivity for these web tasks, with keyboard and mouse. Right now a use a $500 laptop but it’s noisy, short battery life, hot to use on my lap, and moderately heavy. Foleo sounds like it would be nice w/ instant on, light weight, long battery life. What are your thoughts on it for this scenario (wifi web sans smartphone) and what are some other options? Thanks. – Eric

Cool. That email app has the look and even the color scheme of Outlook. Smart. Unfortunately if you have to explain what a device is for there usually is no real market. That’s plagued the UMPC too.
