I like to see native Skype client on iPhone soon, but Fring does it now and it is free. Works pretty good saved me a boatload on some travel I recently did being able to call home and office from a free hotspot.

I tested the Truphone iPhone to iPhone free calling and it works well. My only complains with Truphone is no desktop client and the cost is a bit high at 6 cents per minute.

Depends where you’re calling. Also, unlike Skype, Truphone charges extra for connecting to mobiles. Hate to bash these guys, because this is an important service and competition is good. But I’m anxiously awaiting iPhone and Blackberry Skype clients.
