Here’s my take.
Winplosion: no live preview windows. Small application, few options.
Top desk: Plenty of options, offers live previews, though kind of jittery; smallest application.
Entbloess: Ton of options, Fast live previews, but really taxing on the cpu. Largest application.

Hey, Entbloess is a good find. Seems to handle resolution changes better than TopDesk, too.

Virtual Desktop is totally different from this tool. Virtual Desktop allows you to have 4 different (virtual) monitors, while this program (only) allows you to have one, but adds the possibility to show all currently opened windows in a way like OSX does (kinda like zoom out the window to make it smaller, then position it on the screen so that you can easily spot the window you are looking for).

I have been using Entbloess for quite some time now on my U, and it really works like a charm aswell. Definatly a good choice if you’re looking for an alternative.

How this this software compared the free Virtual Desktop Manager available in XP Powertoys? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Virtual Desktop Manager has been pretty solid for me on the U.
