It’s too expensive to be a netbook for me. I feel that price is one of the biggest criteria for determining if a device is a netbook or not. Remember, there have been very expensive, very small notebooks around for years. It wasn’t until some of them got really cheap that the term netbook came in vogue.

Nope, VAIO P uses an Intel Atom. 1.3GHz here in the U.S., 1.86GHz available in Japan. I think Core 2 Duo might melt a hole through something as thin as the VAIO P. ;)

James, the “X” in “XMB” stands for “Cross”, because of the cross pattern: horizontal navigation between sections, vertical between items.

You might sometimes see it written as “Xross Media Bar”, but that’s just ridiculous.

aHome is nice and coming from the iphone you might find it sets up the g1 in a familiar fashion. However I would recommend trying openhome. It is the one that I use and it has included some of the cupcake features into it, Live folders, onscreen keyboard and 7 configurable screens for your use. It is also skinnable and the Mario skin rocks. I would recommend giving that a shot as well.
