Can anyone confirm if the bluetooth on the Samsung Q1 can handle connecting to a keyboard like this, a mouse, and a phone (using DUN) such that you can literally be online browsing the web and typing in web addresses and sending out email all at the same time?

I have a membrane rollable keyboard… they’re actually fairly bulky, and you MUST use them on a flat and firm surface (not the lap).

And they’re not terribly comfortable to type on, either. I’ll be getting a Stowaway as soon as I can choose the right retailer up here in the Great White North.

The function keys F1-10 are mapped to Left-Fn-”A” through “L”, F11 to Left-Fn-”>” and F12 to Left-Fn=”Enter”. However, combining these keystrokes with Alt or Ctrl don’t always work.
Alt-F3 and Alt-F5 do work, but Alt-F4 does not, nor do Ctrl-F3 and Ctrl-F5.

The 4 row keyboard will not be able to utilize all the same commands as the standard 5 row. The consolidated key row and the extra function keys create a complex system of shortcuts, for which not all standard Windows shortcuts can be replicated. The keys you are trying to access no longer exist on the 4 row keyboard, but you are able to launch the Windows F# keys to a certain extent. The limitations you are experiencing are due to the changed key mapping of the 4 row keyboard.

I couldn’t agree more with your choice of the Stowaway, it has given me so much more flexibility.

All I need now are more hours in the day.

I’m looking forward to viewing the video.

I absolutely love the shortcut keys on the Universal keyboard I have.

LK, I was very careful and obviously took a chance by removing it. The stand is attached to two small round plastic pegs, so I just looked for where they attached the stand to the pegs. You should see a small opening on the “teeth” or “hooks” of the stand; look for that and gently pull the stand off the pegs. Disclaimer: if you break your stand, you’re on your own! ;)

I bought this keyboard yesterday for my Q1. Glad to see I’m not alone in thinking this is a good marriage of devices! How did you remove the little pda stand though?

I’ve worked with the stowaway and found the missing numbers row to be a deal killer for me.

I program too much and have to rely on quick number key access. I use usb full size keyboard instead.

Comeout with a dedicated number row and they will have me, though.
