The Trapper Keeper budget laptop stand?
Actually, do they even make Trapper Keeper binders any more or am I just getting old (and losing my hair)? OK, so you just need a standard 3-ring binder, an aluminum rail and some felt for this little project, but it could give your laptop the boost you’re looking for. Some folks have wisely commented that holes in the binder might help cool your notebook as well; probably a good idea as I’d hate to peel melted plastic off the base of my MacBook Pro.

Ok so i’ll agree with the old bit when it comes to Trapper Keepers, but I know for a fact I can probably find an old Trapper Keeper that actually has a denim covering on it. That would probably work really well to increase the friction, and keep the laptop from sliding off of it.
