I mean to say that I&#039;m waiting for a turn-by-turn satnav solution that doesn&#039;t require a monthly subscription like Telenav.  Something along the lines of TomTom, that may require an up-front purchase but doesn&#039;t have monthly fees.

I&#039;ve heard that AndNav2 made some progress, but they have only rolled out to California in the U.S., and from what I understand the service is spotty in California anyway.
