Welcome back to techADDICTION #22- Kevin and I talk about mobile goodness from all walks of the tech world. This show had a TA first with a correction for something we said in error on the last show. JK is stalking Robin Williams, Kevin won’t say how his day is going and both of us are scratching our heads over the PalmSource deal. Enjoy the show and leave cards and letters on the blog and don’t forget to leave us a message on the techADDICTION Skype line.

6:51 JK “Palm that actually makes the hardware like the Treo, have announced that they’re going to license Windows Mobile”.
They did????
Brian, not in an official press release. But the CFO of Palm said in an interview in August on c/net:
“CIOs don’t get fired for using Microsoft products,” and “The fact is we are Switzerland, whether it be over the e-mail server or the OS.”
This statement has led many to believe a WM-based Treo is just a matter of time.
And these pics could be photoshopped, but I’m thinking not: http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000050053387/
It would really give Treo sales a boost to pull WM into the device. It’s good for Palm and good for mobile users as well. Let’s hope it happens!
I went to the Treo roadshow in Boston last November, and back then they spoke about being “OS-agnostic”. Palm has maintained that party line for a while now, so I wouldn’t consider that an announcement.
