Hi Ram, may you explain more how to ‘made use of Generic RNDIS connection’? I also use HTC Touch. ON my IMac I use VMWare, so should I remove it?

Did you, by any chance, happen to use usbswitch tool (from Palm/MS), so you could sync it under VMWare/Parrallels (or for using a serial-2-usb)?

I have a HTC touch and had the same problem. Then I made use of Generic RNDIS connection, and it started syncing just fine.
