I wonder if SuperTalent are employing ExtremeFFS technology in their MLC SSDs? If so, it’s the end of hangs during small random writes.

Too expensive for me. I just ordered a 10krpm WD VelociRaptor. As per your previous posts, HDDs still offer better bang for the buck.

If the MLC drive has a JMicron controller and no cache, you really should not be touting it on JKontherun.
The current MLC drives (with the exception of the intel SSD) are HORRIBLE!
They are slower in real world usage than old 4K RPM HDDs.

I am quite disappointed. These issues are being discussed across the internet and yet blogs and people still tout the MLC SSD horn.
