Sprint NOW Screensaver- Pretty Good Waste of Idle Processing Power
By now you’ve probably seen the Sprint NOW site, where a bunch of cool widgets live to show you every detail of things going on at a given moment. Sprint fired this site up a while back to get folks good and stoked about the Palm Pre. Today Sprint let us know that you can download a screensaver for both Windows and Macs that puts that NOW goodness to use by protecting your screen when idle. The NOW screensaver can be customized with your Twitter, Flickr and Facebook information to keep your social network hopping even when your computer is idle. It’s a very nice use of screensaver technology for sure. Here’s my screensaver running on the MacBook:

It’s a great screensaver. Better yet for Sprint, it’s great marketing. Now, if they only had EVDO roaming with Verizon I’d be all set.
