The UMPC focused question is will this device be badged a U series, or is a UX replacement on its way too at some point?

I agree – I lusted over the Sony TZ for years, but couldn’t justify the price.

But – they have to restrain from installing all that bloatware they usually use.

Having used the HP Mini’s 8.9″ screen, I’d rather have 10.2″.

Make sure you use quality speakers – the Mini’s sound is awesome and I’m totally spoiled at not having to use external speakers for entertainment now.

I agree, if they can make it within reasonable price range,

make it 8.9″ to 10.2″ screen (usually Sony screens are top notch)

Perhaps they’ll fix the mistake of netbooks being too affordable and having usable keyboards.

I’m probably the one to say that if Sony hadn’t made their tiny laptops so expensive, there would be no need for the Netbook category.

But last I heard of the Sony Netbook, they were going to use VIA (which by now, they better use the VIA Nano chip)
