Snapdragon VAIO P Wannabe at CTIA: Pursebook
The heat for a Snapdragon netbook has been turned way up, as Qualcomm was showing the Wistron Pursebook at the CTIA this week. The dimensions of the Pursebook look a lot like the Sony VAIO P, with the screen being much wider than it is tall. Snapdragon netbooks run Linux, as Windows will not run on the Qualcomm processor, and the Pursebook looks like a special distro of Linux is running the show. Qualcomm expects the Pursebook to sell in the $300 – $500 ballpark, a decent park to play in for sure.

This looks like the old HP Jornada.
I like it.
I like this, but as a man I would feel too emasculated owning a “Pursebook”.
Who came up with that name? George Michael?
The question used to be “Can it blend” but I think the question this device needs to answer is “Can it iTunes”? Consumers want to be able to load their iPods, rent Slumdog Millionaire and watch Lost.
No Windows = FAIL.
No Windoze=YAY!
and linux=YAY!
