&lt;p&gt;All I know is that with Slingbox/Palm vers. 1,  my Treo brings me clear, smooth TV (100+ channels and still not much on...) and my Tivo recordings, all from a telephone!  For example, the NBA playoff games came over &quot;loud and clear&quot; up in the woods in Big Bear, California where we have no internet or TV, but do have a nice Sprint signal. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This will be like a very nice unboxing...of downloaded software.  I&#039;ll report back. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;By the way, after being one of your steadiest non-tablet-owning readers, the miracle of Craigslist brought me a beautiful &quot;new&quot; Toshiba R15 (big, heavy but wonderful) for considerably less than 500 clams. It is several dimensions slower than the amazing X61, but I love it, especially the WiFi radar screen which, in busy L.A. areas, portrays hotspots like incoming swarms of enemy aircraft. Great fun. &lt;/p&gt;
