I’d love t know how you got it installed on a Pearl 8100.
When i try via the Blackberry Browser it fails with a message saying its not supported.

I have been using the Blackberry Slingplayer on the Pearl 8100 on Tmobile and it works quite well. I would have no qualms recommending someone with TMOBILE to make the purchase at all. In fact I have been using Slingplayer Mobile on Windows Mobile Devices and Palm Devices all on Tmobile and they have all been acceptable. But, it is EDGE and you have to be prepared for a hiccup now and then.

The Sling Player for Blackberry works over the cellular network also, not just Wifi. The reason it doesn’t work on the Storm is two-fold as indicated by Sling. The Storm was new when they were developing the client and didn’t have access to the specs until late, thus couldn’t incorporate the larger touch screen.

Also, the biggest reason is CDMA Blackberry phones have an issue with Sling Streaming. Presently, the Sling Player only works over GSM, both edge (not good stream quality) and 3G. There are reports that a new version of CDMA Blackberry firmware allows the Sling Player to work over EVDO.
