Taxman, I’ve tried it on my Advantage as well. Very disappointing, but Skyfire simply doesn’t support VGA displays, at least not yet.

This from their site: “VGA Windows Mobile Phone: We support a maximum resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. Phones with VGA displays (640 x 480 resolution), will not work with the current beta.”

Skyfire is OK. The ability to watch streaming video is pretty cool, and the browser is fast.

However, overall, Opera Mobile is still a more polished browser.

I've mentioned this time and time again but obviously I need to yet again: A lot of your readers don't live in the US. Can you take this into account? This Beta is only available to a minority of people, not to the rest of the world.

Does Skyfire work on the HTC Advantage? I've tried installing it two times. Each time it only fills half the screen.

I tried the earlier beta -- it was a lot like a polished version of webbrowsing over VNC. I think it sends text and everything as images; they blur first, then sharpen.
