Skooba Messenger Bag Holds a Netbook and 19 Other Things
I’ve seen minimalistic netbook sleeves and bags before, but Skooba offers something with a little more meat to it. Oh, it’s not a ginormous bag — it measures in at 14 x 12 x 3 inches. The “meat” I’m referring to is the 20 pockets and compartments found in the new Skooba Messenger Bag for Netbooks. That’s some serious storage in a relatively small package. A three pound netbook with this 24 ounce bag, plus all of your little cables, flash drives and what-nots, should still be an under five pound package — unless you have very heavy what-nots, that is. Here’s the official description from Skooba:
“Though designed in the popular, flap-over “bike courier” style, the Messenger features a zip-open top slot that allows quick access to the main compartment without having to fully open the main flap. Inside the main compartment is a padded sleeve and retention strap for the netbook, a mesh pouch for the power adapter, and a generous open space for books and papers. A separate front compartment has pockets for digital camera or other portable devices, cords, adapters and accessories, and even a special slot for a USB thumb drive. Other features include a stowaway water bottle holder, cam-lock lever for quick shoulder strap length adjustment, neoprene exterior side pockets for phone and audio device, and more.”
The new netbook bags are already available online for $49 in your choice of accent color: Abyss Black, Blizzard White, Deep Ocean Blue and Inferno Red.

It looks a lot like a school bag. I got a small bag for my 701 at $10 which I like better……
Nice.
My netbook is paired up with a pretty portable USB DVD Burner – http://www.digistor.com/Digistor-External-DVD-Burner-USB-2-Tray-Load-Drive – which should fit right in there.
Ima get one of these.
