Restore closed Internet Explorer 7 tabs with free plug-in
Tabbed browsing is one of those functions that has definitely impacted my productivity for the better. It’s not uncommon for me to have six to ten tabs open at a given time and I spend most of my day in a browser. I’ve lost track of how many times I accidentally closed a tab, gotten frustrated and had to search through my History to get it back. Sound familiar to anyone here that uses Internet Explorer?Fear not, you can add a small plug-in aptly named “IE7 Open Last Closed Tab” directly from the Windows Marketplace. Once you install the free add-on, you can key Alt+X to restore the most recently closed browser tab. Alt+Q offers up a thumbnail view of the previously closed tabs: just select one to bring it back.(via Download Squad)

Does anyone know of an ie7 plugin that will allow you to open a new tab by just clicking on a link (instead of having to right click)? Would make life a whole lot easier with a pen!
I’ve been using Maxthon, but would rather simply use ie7.
Don’t know of an easy way with the pen; with a keyboard, Control+Click would open the link in a new tab. Does your pen have a configurable button where you could assign Control+Click? Still not ideal, but…
and for Firefox users:
Two methods exist for restoring closed tabs. For you keyboard lovers, hit Shift+Ctrl+T (on Windows) or Shift+Cmd+T (on a Mac).
For the rest of us who can’t remember keyboard shortcuts, right click on any open space on the tab bar and select Undo Closed Tab. Don’t have enough open space on the tab bar? You can restore closed tabs by clicking on History from the menu, and select “Recently Closed Tabs”.
IE7Pro allows you to open links in new tabs by clicking and dragging. It also includes a tab history, ad-blocker, spellchecker and a raft of other extremely useful features. It’s a really cool add-in and I can’t recommend it enough. You can get it for free from http://www.ie7pro.com.
And for Opera users: Ctrl+Z (Undo), for some reason I use that feature every day, trigger happy fingers I guess.
Six to ten tabs open at the same time? You lightweight!
Try 60 to 100…oh, you said IE, not Firefox. Sorry.
Btw, does anyone know why there is such a huge lag for a new tab to open in IE — even on a fast machine with plenty of RAM?
