I have had the 755p for about a month. It behaves erratically, and I suspect there is some kind of memory leak or something because sometimes it is very responsive and sometimes it is just ridiculously slow (to the point that I think it has locked up). It would be great if there were some diagnostics that could be run to determine the cause of this. Anyone have ideas?

There are lots of happy Sprint users who “upgraded” from 755p to Centro. Centro is better than 755p in many aspects let alone being cheaper. But, as usual, Verizon users are out of luck for another maybe a few years?

Windows Mobile and Palm OS are different, but I understand your point… I think the 755p would’ve been more well received if it came out on Verizon a year ago. As it is, it’s kind of anti-climatic given that it’s only a little thinner and a little lighter than the 700p and that’s it.

A bit of friendly advice – DON’T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

I have the 750p, other than the iMate JasJar it has to be the worst smart phone I have ever owned! It has more bugs than features, and it is so slow and unreliable that it is unusable as a real work phone.

I am typing this message on the phone I replaced my 750p with, a Nokia E90 (this has to be one of the very best phones I have ever used!) It is fast, rock solid, and just works with both my Sony UX180 Windows machine, and my Macbook Pro! It is fantastic.

I would even venture that my iPhone is more effective and usable (as a work phone) than the 750p…

For a while, before I got the iPhone and the Nokia, I actually went back to using my Treo 650 (now that was a worthwhile phone!)

I don’t want to start a flame war, but I am yet to have a Windows Mobile phone just work!

So, my advice is save yourself the trouble and go for something else

The main difference between the 755p (which has been on Sprint for quite a while) and the 700p is the antennaless form-factor. I think there are a few refreshes to the software, but generally the specs on the two are the same.
