Palm Pre skins for PalmOS already out- TealOS

We admit we have been all gaga over the sexy UI on the Palm Pre since we saw it in person.  Those application “cards” and the wavy quick launch bar not only look great but are very functional — the mark of great design.  The Pre isn’t available yet so we’ll all just have to wait to get our hands on the great UI, unless we have a PalmOS phone like the lowly Centro.

Good phone interfaces always end up being duplicated for other phones after they are released as those not fortunate to have the new phone want to have the interface.  A lot can be said for the Palm Pre that a program for the PalmOS, TealOS, already sets out to approximate the as-yet-unreleased Pre WebOS interface.  We have to admit it does a pretty darn good job based on the video of TealOS in action on a Palm Centro.  The sexy interface seems to be fully functional and runs very well on the underpowered Centro.  It’s only $14.95 too.
