Palm Pre Homebrew App of the Day– Twee
I like to use Twitter on my phone; it’s a convenient way to see what my tweeps are up to, and to share my own doings. I have been using Spaz on the Palm Pre since day one, but that changed today. During my daily rustling through the Pre homebrew apps (up to 132), I found Twee, a Twitter app. I loaded it up, and it has totally replaced Spaz for my twittering.
Twee is faster, prettier, and just plain fun to use. I can add photos to my tweets and use my current location to find nearby tweeple. Twee is a good, solid app so far, and like all homebrew apps, it’s free.

I’ve used all three available Twitter apps for the Pre and have settled in with Tweed. I tried Twee for a couple of days and found it to drain battery life extremely quickly. Have you noticed this?
I haven’t, but then I don’t leave it running all the time. I don’t like distractions so apps like this I only run when I have time to look at it. That’s good to know, thanks for sharing.
Same here, but even for a brief amount of time (1f – 20 minutes) it seems to drain battery overly fast. It would be great to receive confirmation that its not only me :)
I like Twee a lot, but find that Tweed is more useful because I can set it to notify me for @mentions and DMs. This process runs in the backgroundeven when Tweed is closed. A really handy feature.
I use Tweed too but actually prefer Spaz….I just find the UI colours on Spaz a bit sore on my middle-aged eyesight failing eyes.
