Palm Pre Homebrew App of the Day: Scientific RPN Calculator
The Palm Pre homebrew app scene is growing so quickly it’s hard to keep up with it. When Kevin first shared his experience there were only 73 apps in the catalog. I say “only” even though there are still just 32 apps in the official Pre App Catalog. :) As of this writing there are 102 homebrew apps in the “catalog” — a staggering growth level that shows both how active developers are on the Pre, and also how easy it is to get apps built.
We can’t promise to cover an app every day but we intend to start sharing apps we try on the Pre regularly with you. Today’s app is a nice scientific calculator that I’ve been playing with on the Pre. It is a full RPN scientific calculator, with nice “3D” looking keys and haptic feedback for key presses. It reminds me of my past life when I was using such calculators every day. I would have killed for this app back then. It’s free, so no harm in trying it out if you’re feeling all scientific today.
