Palm Pre Homebrew App of the Day — Brightness Unlinked
The totally unofficial but rocking homebrew app repository is up to 211 apps as of this writing. Every day sees new apps appear, from full-blown sophisticated programs to simple utilities that make using the Pre easier. Today’s homebrew app of the day, Brightness Unlinked, is firmly in the latter category.
Brightness Unlinked runs in the background and gives easy control over both the screen and keypad backlight controls. Two sliders are used to adjust the brightness of the two components separately, so you can turn the screen way down to work in the dark and crank up the keypad backlight so you can see the keys. It is simple and works well.
