1) The RC800 is chargeable and can scan without being hooked up to the computer. 
2) It is not sheet fed, so you can scan magazines and papers that are bound without ripping them out

All of that said, the M12 looks like a great unit. ]]></description>

        I&#039;m confused.. what&#039;s new?  The M12 has been around for awhile.  Is this some new corporate one?  Anwyays, I&#039;ve got one (got it at the beginning of summer), but haven&#039;t really used it yet.. waiting for the beginning of the school year to really get busy with it.  :D
