This should be better than the R800.
Nice…for the portable ability to scan handouts ‘on the fly’ this makes me drool a lot more than the Docupen circa same price.
Nice.
I’m confused.. what’s new? The M12 has been around for awhile. Is this some new corporate one? Anwyays, I’ve got one (got it at the beginning of summer), but haven’t really used it yet.. waiting for the beginning of the school year to really get busy with it. :D
You can get it at Amazon for around $149

Two things make the RC800 a better solution for those on the go:
1) The RC800 is chargeable and can scan without being hooked up to the computer.
2) It is not sheet fed, so you can scan magazines and papers that are bound without ripping them out
All of that said, the M12 looks like a great unit.
that $149 price is not for the corporate model. it is for the Plus.
