Nokia: Let’s Do Away With Phone Charging Altogether
Palm created a fair bit of buzz, and deservedly so, with the Touchstone charger introduced with the Pre. This charger uses inductive technology, so the phone doesn’t need to be plugged into charge. The Pre is set on top of the magnetic Touchstone charger, and it begins charging the phone. This is the first phone to have this type of charging technology as an available accessory. Handset maker Nokia is working on technology that goes this one better by eliminating the charger altogether.
Nokia researchers are working on a method to charge phones using ambient radio waves. These radio waves are all around, and the Finnish phone maker is working to use them to provide power to charge phones. This is pretty exciting stuff if you can imagine never having to charge your phone again. If it’s in the air, it’s charging all the time. Don’t expect this technology to hit the market anytime soon, but it’s pretty heady stuff just the same.

Tesla had the tech we back in his day. The reason we dont have wireless electricity is how can the power companies measure and charge us for the power we use. but the fact that we can have it but yet THE MAN wont let us have is really sad. We can really move up in this world if only we didnt care much in the dollar and more in the people. of course we all want to be rich
I guess what one need to do is to stop thinking about money as something to store up, and more like some kind of water that keeps things going.
At the same time, there needs to be a limit to the amount of “water” flowing. Problem is that right now, there is an amount of it added to the flow each year equal to the average interest of the central banks of the world. Therefor the total flow is cut into ever smaller drops, resulting in more having to be focused at a single point to have a effect…
This is some pretty nifty stuff, but i would imagine that the technology needs to get down to a usable size before it becomes practical for a cell phone.
I guess the biggest issue is this:

Still, a very interesting thought…
