That’s true Scotty, I might describe it as something more “major” if I had it done to me. However, I can unequivocally say with certainty that if I did have the same surgery, I would NOT be wearing the lampshade. ;)

Kevin, I’m waiting to hear if you describe it as “minor surgery” if your wife suggests the equivalent procedure for you some day. ;-)

We’ve got a big white Lab from our local rescue center here in Austin, Had him since our daughter was 6 months old (she’s now 4.5). They’re a great breed all around, and especially great with kids. Our guy also came home wearing the not very stylish hat. Hope Kelso settles in well, and I’m sure he’ll bring tons of joy for many years!

Congratulations on your new addition. I adopted a 2 year old lab this year and she’s one of the best thing that happened all year. People who say you can’t buy love, never got a dog….talk about the gift that just keeps on giving!

Congrats Kevin, rescuing and taking care of an animal in need of a home is one of the most giving and honorable things a man can do in this world, and I’m sure you will be repaid many times over with Kelso’s love and devotion. Kudos to you.

Well done on getting a recycled dog from the pound. That is one of the best things that people can do at Christmas – especially given how many new pets will be dumped by people over this period.

I used to have three Labs (yes, all at the same time), a black, yellow, and chocolate. Unfortunately, I have lost all three of them in the past two years and two months. The last two within the past two months. That was rough.

Give him lots of love. And if he keeps dogging your heels, just remember that he’s lab adoring you.

As the proud rescuer of two dogs from the local pound (one a black Lab mix and the other a, uh, well, something mix), nothing beats giving a home to another (living) creature.

Like acjif98 said, if I had the space, there would more. After awhile you start thinking of the other animals that were left behind.
