No full screen in Google Reader for Firefox users?
I’m all beside myself right now. One of my most used programs, Firefox, and my most used service, Google Reader, today are not cooperating, at least fully. My main method of using Google Reader with Firefox is to hit the F11 key which sends FF into full screen mode. I process all my feeds that way and then tap F11 again to bring things back to normal. It worked earlier today as usual but just now I try it and the F11 key doesn’t do anything in Google Reader in Firefox. I can use the F11 key normally in Internet Explorer but please don’t make me go back to the dark side! For that matter the F11 key works in Firefox on every other web site except Google Reader. Come on Google, what’s up with that?

That is odd. Works for me right now. But I will say that there have been times when I was using Google Reader where the navigation keys (N+P) did not work for me at one point and then one day later, they did work. Go figure….
Hopefully it’s just being temperamental. :-)
It doesn’t work properly in Opera 9.25alpha the the moment either.
I think the webpage has captured the F11, not allowing it through to the browser.
If I select full screen from the pull down menu (or an icon) I can enter full screen, but to exit full screen I need to select a link (such as gmail) which takes me to a page where F11 works…
very strange!
Sorry about that, this is a bug that seems to affect Reader in Firefox. We’re investigating.

i have three computers running firefox, two xp sp2 and one vista. on one of the xp machines and on my vista umpc, the f11 does not toggle the fullscreen mode when i’m in reader. on my other xp box, it works as advertised. on all my machines, f11 works for other sites.
I’ve had problems today with reader in Firefox on Macbook. The “mark as as read” command has been working only intermittently today. Never experienced that before. Getting an “oops” error from reader.
F key is not working for me either but I am able to go into full screen mode by going to View–>Full Screen. Then to exit I just select the minimize button in the top right of the window.
The bug should be fixed now, a refresh should pick up the change (though you may need to wait longer if you’re using Gears, since that does its own caching).

I just tried it with Opera 9.25 and F11 still doesn’t work at http://www.google.com/reader
