A bit of googling confirms it is a european model, available for pre-sales (for dealers only I think) in europe.
GDP 2000 is really expensive. To put it into perspective in the UK Sony’s top end massive screen 1080p HD LCD’s cost less than this.

Not likely as its sold in pounds and has the CF slot, that makes it the Euro version, not the US version. Thus far, all the US versions have lacked the CF slot and included integrated WWAN instead. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, to see a new UX-x80P series shown at CES, and I for one hope it will have UMTS/HSDPA instead of just EDGE support.
