Remember,this unit is a direct relative of the cute l’il squeezable orginial Chumby which came with plastic charms.

I ordered mine Nov. 21 and have watched the UPS guy every day….where’s me Chumby! The site says NLT Dec 11…that will
really put pressure on the UPS guy. Nothing ever measures up to expectations fully…but I can’t wait for the l’il guy to appear. Already have the battery which u must procure by yourself. Chit chat on the Chumby forum of larger batteries with 5 or so, hour life.

Chumby should just sell subscriptions to it’s widget service so I can just leave my old Toshiba tablet grinding away on the kitchen counter…rolling through my widgets.

Looking forward to Kevin’s comments after using it a while.

The maddening thing is Bunnie, chief Chumby engineer, has a website which shows his hack which hooked in a 10 inch (?) electronic pictureframe. Amazing and clearly readable news, weather, etc. widgets from anywhere in the room.

They go to different schools and after reading that you can send “gifts” back and forth between chumbys (chumbies?) I decided to bite. $99 each isn’t a bad price at all. In fact I might get one for myself once I find out how these work. Having my favorite internet radio streams and Pandora right next to my bed sounds awesome.
