hrana, I switched to the EVDO service a few days ago so I haven't hit any limits so far. Verizon couldn't impose a download limit and call the service unlimited, that would be an invitation to a class action lawsuit. The service agreement explicitly defines what is permitted and using it for servers or server type uses is expressly forbidden.

I do not often send or receive big files through Verizon so I am not likely to hit any limit. I use it for email, web work and Skype. I haven't used it long enough to recommend it as the only connection.

You mentioned using the EVDO card for access to Verizon's high-speed data service. My question is regarding whether or not you have run into the supposed 100meg download limit that everyone keeps talking about. If so, what have you done to address it? If not, can I ask how much data you transfer over the connection per month? The cost? The average speed? Would you consider the EVDO card a suitable replacement to a household cable/dsl connection for those of us on the move?

I enjoy the podcast (waiting eagerly for #8) and still considering whether a Tablet PC is going to be my next notebook.

"1.2 GHz Intel 753 processor- it is very fast"

I know these chips are different than P4 chips, and have heard you can't compare by their clock speed. How would this compare performance-wise to my Thinkpad A31p (1.7GHz P4, 512MB Ram)?
